Democracy - a lost concept

I've said it before - here in the UK we need a 'civil code' so we all know or can find out what our rights are. Those of us who cannot afford the services of the legal profession have no hope :(

It seems to me the main aim of those in power is to keep the public in the dark :( - 'the dark ages' in my case.

The reason I personally can't achieve justice would seem to be that the censored ''powers-that-be' are scared of setting a precedent.

So, long live the 'workhouse ethos' :(

It's more a case of an administrative 'stitch up' in my case so far.

What has happened to democratic rights for the average citizen in the UK?

What has happened to liberty, equality and fraternity for every citizen?

But of course, the first two are obviously only for the third (still even they have a hierarchy so no real 'equality') who are trampling the Human Rights of ordinary citizens steadily into the ground :( and not just in the UK.

The final pertinent question is: WHO/WHAT DOES RULE OUR COUNTRY? The answer is simple - A certain HANDSHAKE
